Summer Rewind: California's Safe, Supportive Schools Symposium (November 19-21, 2013)

Bill Preble was invited to give the keynote address at the 2013 California Safe, Supportive Schools Symposium in Sacramento, CA, sponsored by the California Department of Education.

In his address entitled Practical Strategies for School Climate Leadership and Action, Bill shared his work and recent research on:

- some effective strategies for integrating social, and emotional health supports into school climate improvement plans,

- the needs of vulnerable youth, high poverty, high minority communities,

- some strategies and programs that empower school climate leaders,

- the sustainability of school climate leadership and improvement efforts. etc.

Following his keynote address Bill also offered a master class for school leaders in school climate leadership at three levels: the interpersonal/relational level, the instructional/pedagogical level, and the school-wide/systemic level.
